    Currency Voting!

currencycards Out of the 770 nominations, the developers chose the following top 5 names:

    • - MetaBucks
    • - EABucks
    • - EADollars
    • - eBucks
    • - FunBucks

The voting procedure is going to take place in-game where all subscribers would receive currency cards (as shown left) in their inventories. Subscribers would delete the cards of the names that they don’t like or want, leaving the card(s) that they like and would like to vote for. This means that you are able to vote for more than one name and of course voting to none by deleting them all. Reminding that the card(s) left undeleted are going to be counted as votes. The winner of the new currency name will be the one that you guys liked and did not delete!

Make sure to vote before Monday March 31st at 3:30. You will find these cards in the inventory of the oldest avatar on the account.

Good luck to everyone and don’t forget to vote since this name would be mentioned everywhere (e.g website) and would become the new official name.

    End of the horrible lag?

The lag found in EA Land has been unbearable for a quite long time. It made the game almost unplayable for many and endless complains and threads were posted on stratics regarding this issue.

The developers announced that EA Land is re-setting at 3 PM (PST) and 10 PM (PST) through the weekend! According to the official EA Land blog, “this should prevent the lag from occuring later this evening”

Let’s hope this would improve the conditions since the developers are also looking into a better fix. :)

    Exploit found

EA Land has been down for a quite long time and will stay for more since an exploit was found and the developers are currently trying to fix it. Far as we know, the exploit has been caused by a bug, which, after a specific procedure, grants you simoleans (or whatever their name will be). This has caused much money to enter the economy and be spent.

Previously – in the pub, parizad mentioned as the topic of exploits was discussed, that they had a special system  in place that would sound off a warning and immediately shut down the game if there was a sudden influx of simoleans. It is unclear why the city did not shut down this time … “The sound off happened. We all got a lovely e-mail when we were all asleep. However, the city did not shut down. I don’t have an answer as to why. We can’t begin to look at that until we’ve put out the current fire.

Right now, our #1 issue is to get you guys back in EA-Land.” Parizad said.

They are currently working on getting us back into EA Land. Meanwhile, join the city hall party thread here. Make sure to keep checking the sims stratics site and the developer’s blog.

    New flash screen!

new tso flash screenEA-Land now has a new flash entry screen (as shown left). It doesn’t only contain the logo, but a couple of URLs (like the blog’s and the wiki’s) & the pictures of some in-game custom content. This new screen would only appear if you choose the “Test Center 3″ or the “Test Center 3 – test” option while logging in and download the update. It seems that the game is going further away from the “sims” and more into “EA Land” – the new game under TSO’s engine.

    Upload those tables!

We are now able to upload custom tables, make sure to visit a service lot and click on the crafting bench, choose “Custom Build”, then “Tables”, and “End Table”.

Don’t forget to create a new folder in the EA-Games folder named “Tables”

    * It is more likely to be like the following:
    C:\Documents and Settings\pparav\My Documents\EA Games\EA-Land\uploads\Tables

Pictures will be added very soon to show you the different tables created and uploaded by the community. :D

    A scam! beware!

This has been copied from sims.stratics.com

This evening in EA Land a sim by the name of “E-A Employee” was messaging players within game trying to get them to give in game cash/objects.

Upon seeing this post in City Hall I messaged Maxis Lee and informed him of this player. Maxis Lee went in game and took care of this imposter.

Maxis Lee would like me to reiterate that an EA Employee will NEVER ask for a password or money. At times, Lee or Parizad may exchange items but they are known as MaxisLee and MaxisParizad.

Please safeguard yourself and never be afraid to ask questions! Before you decide to scam be sure that Maxis will run cross checks on your accounts and take all appropriate actions.

beware people … plus, developers usually have the word “Maxis” at the beginning.
